After Sriram Raghavan's 2015 revenge-drama Badlapur, Radhika Apte reunites with the filmmaker for his next. Titled Shoot The Piano Player, the thriller-musical features Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu in the lead and went on the floors yesterday in Pune.

“Radhika was signed recently but had been prepping for the part for a while. Ayushmann, who plays a musician in the film, started attending workshops two months ago, while Tabu kicked off prep last month. Radhika and Tabu will join Ayushmann in Pune for the first schedule this week,“ informs a source close to the development, adding that Vinay Pathak and Ashwini Kalsekar who have earlier worked with Sriram in the Neil Nitin Mukesh-starrer Johnny Gaddaar and Badlapur are also a part of the cast.

While the film marks Raghavan's first collaboration with composer Amit Trivedi, the filmmaker has roped in his Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) batchmate K U Mohanan as the DoP. “This is Sriram and Mohanan's first feature film. This schedule is expected to go on for 16-18 days, after which the team will take a break and resume by July-end in Mumbai,“ the source further reveals.
