After returning from a family vacation in Maldives with wife Kajol and their children Nysa and Yug, Ajay Devgn has resumed shooting for Milan Luthria’s action thriller Baadshaho and will soon start filming for Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again, which is lining up for a big Diwali release.

Meanwhile, Mirror has learnt that the 48-yearold actor-director-producer has joined hands with filmmaker Abhinav Shukla to produce a biopic on yoga guru Ramdev.

“The television series, titled Swami Baba Ramdev: The Untold Story revolves around Ramdev and his partner Balakrishna, tracing his journey from an anonymous common man to a national icon, a global figure and a business mogul,” informs a source close to the development, adding that the writers are presently busy with their research and shooting will start by the year-end.

Ramdev was born on December 25, 1965, in the Hazaribag Ali Saiyad Pur village of Haryana. Christened Ramkrishna Yadav, he studied Indian scriptures, yoga and Sanskrit in several gurukuls before turning into a sanyasi and adopted the name Ramdev from Swami Shankar Dev. In 2003, Aastha TV started featuring him in a morning yoga slot after which he gained a large following.

Ajay, besides producing several movies including Son Of Sardaar, Singham Returns and Shivaay, has also produced the TV show, Devi, featuring Sakshi Tanwar in the lead, which premiered in 2002. Casting for Ramdev’s biopic is underway.

Buzz is, Dil Dhadakne Do actor Vikrant Massey was roped in to play the titular character but he has since opted out. Vikrant confirmed it, saying, “Yes I had started prep but have since opted out for personal reasons. I wish the team luck.”
