Indo-Canadian actress Sunny Leone, who found wide recognition in India following a stint on the reality show Bigg Boss that spawned a Bollywood career – Pooja Bhatt’s 2012 erotic thriller Jism 2 marked her acting debut – brought in her 36th birthday on May 13 with film producer-musician husband Daniel Weber, family and close friends in California.
Three days later, Sunny confirmed to Mirror that she had moved into a sprawling bungalow in Sherman Oaks, a 30-minute drive away from the famed Beverly Hills, which she has bought recently. The area is known for its spectacular Hollywood celebrity homes. The house, which boasts of five bedrooms, a swimming pool, home-theatre, an expansive garden and outdoor dining area, is five minutes away from the iconic “Hollywood” sign.
“Sunny and I had wanted this property for a really long time. We got possession just this week. We have shopped for all the artefacts in Italy, Rome and Spain. The house reflects our personalities and tastes. We have been travelling the world shopping for the décor,” Daniel said from Los Angeles.
There’s a two-foot bronze statue of Lord Ganesha at the entrance and two four-foot hand-carved stupas from Nepal in the front yard. “We’ve just moved in and are excited about exploring the neighbourhood,” Daniel exulted.
Sunny, last seen in a song, “Laila Main Laila” in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees, directed by Rahul Dholakia, has been in LA for the last two weeks, working on an international production she plans to roll this year. The actress already owns a house and a production office in Lake Forest, California, and visits the city often since her extended family resides there.
