The action star says he did it ‘to analyse and understand’ himself

Age doesn’t seem to have a thing on the ripped Suniel Shetty. The actor and host of &TV’s India’s Asli Champion...Hai Dum turns 65 soon and it doesn’t show.

The actor believes that “me” time has helped him maintain his chiselled look at his age. He shares, “I took a sabbatical of three years to analyse and understand myself. I realised there was an overdose of everything in the last 25 years and so the break really helped me correct that. My passion for fitness has helped me achieve the body that I have today. At my age, I honestly believe that it’s very difficult to be able to manage a body like this. But if you know the basics, it’s very simple and I want to impart my knowledge through the show I’m hosting.”

Expect a new Suniel on the show. “Everything about me is going to be different on India’s Asli Champion. Whether it’s the look or the feel of the show, the costumes, or the way I am going to host the show... my entire behavioural pattern, for that matter changes,” he says.

India’s Asli Champion…Hai Dum premieres May 6 and airs every Saturday-Sunday at 9 pm on &TV
