NAAM SHABANA had a reasonable first weekend of 17.75 crore nett over the weekend. The growth on Sunday was not really there at mass centres and it remained at low levels. The film has done decent business at multiplexes of the big cities over the first three days.

The weekend figures of this film are better than films like RANGOON, COMMANDO 2 and PHILLAURI. In fact outside the cast films (RAEES, JOLLY LLB 2, BADRINATH KI DULHANIA and KAABIL) these are the best weekend figures of the year. The collections of NAAM SHABANA over the first weekend are as follows.

Sunday - 7,00,00,000 apprx

The problem for the film is the acquisition price which was paid for two reason probably the brand value of BABY which is not there as that film is media appreciated and not public appreciated and the guest role by Akshay Kumar. The latter gave a little lift to the film on day one but more importantly the brand value had to work to justify the cost. That was never going to happen as there was no brand value.

NAAM SHABANA dropped on Monday as it grossed 2.25 crore nett. The drop is around 55% from Friday and for content films which don't open you can only afford to be 35-40% down. The occupancy of the film is down to very low levels and it will probably be out in the second weekend like what happened to PHILLAURI last week.

The first week collections will be around 25-26 crore nett which will actually make it the fifth highest grossing Hindi film of 2017 in just one week but that is more to do with most films doing poor business. The collections of NAAM SHABANA over the first four days are as follows.

The film has fared best in Mumbai with business of around 6.50 crore nett in the circuit over four days. BABY had also fared better in Mumbai compared to the rest of the country so maybe that is why the spin off has also fared better in Mumbai.
