In his next, Bhavesh Joshi, Harshvardhan Kapoor plays a skinny, college-going geek, a bald, middle-aged man and a muscular vigilante and as such, is expected to have three distinct looks.
Training in martial arts
The actor is currently shooting as the muscular vigilante and is training in martial arts with MMA fighter Andrew Neal, for specific action sequences that include hand-to-hand combat, mixed martial arts and kung fu-inspired fights.
Subtle muscle gain
Says Harsh, “Even after 14-hour shifts, I hit the gym so as to try and hold on to as much muscle as possible while filming intense action scenes. The muscle gain isn’t too much, just enough to look subtle and real.”
Braving injury
The young actor hurt himself while shooting last week, but continued with his workouts. “I hurt my head and I cut my arms badly in two places while trying a jump, but it’s fine. It’s all part of acting,” he brushes it off. Harshvardhan lost over six kilos through intense cardio last year to play the college boy. And after that, he was spotted sporting a bald patch and a fake paunch for the middle-aged avatar.
