Last week, Priyanka Chopra welcomed Jon Kortajarena, a Basque model-actor, to the cast of her American drama-series Quantico, which has just returned after a mid-season break. The actress captioned the picture, “Top secret no more. Welcome Jon Kortajarena aka Felix to the Quantico cast.”
Now, Mirror has learnt that the actress will be working with Jon in not just the second half of the on-going season two, but also in season three as the show has been renewed for another outing. While season one was filmed in Canada, the second one moved to New York, where season three is expected to take the story forward.
While creator Joshua Safran, producers ABC Studios and executive producer Mark Gordon are expected to make an official announcement in May, a source close to PeeCee informed Mirror that she has already been informed about the renewal.
The 34-year-actress, who headlines the TV series as FBI special agent Alex Parrish, has been instrumental in boosting Quantico’s profile in the international market, especially Asia, with the show now airing in over 240 territories and being dubbed in 56 languages. The source shares that this has worked well for ABC’s on-going diversity drive and the studio is counting on the TV show’s global popularity to gain an edge over other primetime competitors in the US.
While wrapping up shooting of season two towards May-end, PeeCee is expected to simultaneously promote her Hollywood debut, Baywatch, where she plays the vamp Victoria Leeds. The film also features Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. During the Hollywood film’s international release, the actress is also set to bring The Rock to Mumbai and host a star-studded Indian premiere for the film.
