Emraan Hashmi jetted off to Goa on Thursday to ring in his 38th birthday (on March 24) with wife Parveen, son Ayaan and a few of his non-filmi friends. The actor has booked a resort at a private beach in North Goa for a three-day sojourn.

“I’m not into grand celebrations, I like to keep it small and intimate,” Emraan said. “I would have loved to go on a longer holiday but I have other commitments so could only spare a few days this time.”

The actor revealed that his son loves beaches and the family usually spends a lot of time by the sea building sand castles. “Spending time with Ayaan is the best birthday gift,” he beamed.
