As an actress, Anushka Sharma doesn’t hold back and that’s apprarent in her choice of roles. But as a producer, she believes in taking calculated risks. First with NH 10, now Phillauri. What’s next?

Pat comes the response, “I would love to do an action film — and indulge in action sequences that I really want to do. There are a lot of ideas I keep coming up with. I write it down, my brother and I discuss and we will see.”

What about superhero films? Anushka counters, “Are superheroes film interesting? Yes, they are! Do I feel that as a producer, these films are lucrative? Yes, for sure. But there should be something different which you are adding, right? Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense. I think it will be kickass to watch a female superhero.”

Rakesh Roshan, in an interview to After Hrs, had revealed that Krrish 4 will have a superheroine for the female lead alongside Hrithik Roshan. We ask if Anushka’s been offered the role and she tells us, “I have not been offered Krrish 4 at all. And a lot of times, my name gets attached to films which I don’t even get approached for. Then, very conveniently, somebody else is doing the film and stories go like, ‘Oh, someone’s doing the film over Anushka’, when I was not even offered the film to begin with. It’s ridiculous that we have to continuously keep clarifying it.”

She adds that she would love to team up with Hrithik. “You cannot know till you actually hear something. You can only base that decision on a script,” she signs off.
