If Taapsee Pannu had to pick one film as the turning point of her career, she probably won’t think twice before naming Pink. She has been paired opposite Varun Dhawan in Judwaa 2, a film that will catapult her into the realm of commercial movies. But for now, she is excited about being signed on by a cosmetic biggie as brand ambassador since breaking into the Bollywood top league.

Sources reveal it was her Pink co-star Amitabh Bachchan, who recommended her name. “Right after the film released, everyone wanted to know more about her. Her girl-next-door charm worked as an advantage. One of the brand  curators spotted her at a Diwali bash. The first meeting took place soon after and last month, she was brought on board.”

Currently, major actors representing the brand are Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kangana Ranaut, besides Big B himself. The commercial featuring Kangana and Big B, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, garnered a great response. Taapsee is set to shoot her first commercial for the brand next month, but the script and director are yet to be locked in. Buzz suggests the ad will see her alongside Sr Bachchan, but the final call is yet to be taken.

Despite repeated calls, Taapsee remained unavailable for comment. Her spokesperson confirms the news, refusing to divulge anything more.
