Actor and filmmaker Neeraj Vora is referred to as the “patient who has been in coma for a long time“ in AIIMS, Delhi. Vora, who has acted in films like Mann and Badshah, and directed films like Khiladi 420 and Phir Hera Pheri, suffered a brain stroke when he was in Delhi in October and was admitted to AIIMS. Sources say that he has been in coma since, and was shifted from the ICU to a ward in the Cardio-Neuro Tower (CNT) a week ago.

A doctor in the hospital told us that “his condition has improved only a little bit. He was on ventilator support, but is now a little better and out of the ICU. But he is still in coma.“ A source says that he is also undergoing some natural therapies, but there has been no significant change in his condition.

Vora's close friends from the industry, like Paresh Rawal and Aamir Khan, have been enquiring about his health and have visited him in the hospital. “He hasn't had many visitors. We heard that his wife is no more and he has no children. We also got to know that he hardly has any friends in Delhi, but his friends from Mumbai keep track of his health,“ says a source.

Vora wrote the screenplay for many films like Rangeela, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and Hera Pheri.
