Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had recorded the song “Zindagi Ae Zindagi” for the Raveena Tandon-starrer Maatr-The Mother in June-July. Now, while the makers plan to retain the number in the film that releases next year, sources have revealed that plans of a video featuring Rahat have been canned in the wake of the ongoing Indo-Pak tensions. Raveena will feature in the video.
Filmmaker Anjum Rizvi told Mirror, “We have decided to retain the song as it was recorded before the Indo-Pak tension began. It’s an emotional track mapping Raveena’s journey as a mother. We are still planning how the video will be shot but yes it will feature Raveena. Rahat obviously won’t be part of the video, keeping the current situation in mind. I have left the rest to our director Ashtar Sayed and marketing team.”
