Comedy Nights Bachao, which
premiered on September 5, 2015, had its season finale in early September
this year, only to return as Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza the same month
with Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh headlining the cast. Now, Mirror
has learnt that the show is set to go off air around February next year.
Krushna informed Mirror, “Yes, the show will wind up around February, but we'll return with another show three months later. It is doing extremely well and we have shot with almost 400 actors but it has reached its saturation point so we thought of concluding it on a high.“
The show was mired in controversy in September this year with actress Tannishtha Chatterjee staging a walkout after being addressed as 'kaali kalooti' on the show and asked if she had been eating jamun (blackberries) which caused the “kala mooh“. It was followed by John Abraham objecting to the show-runners making fun of his acting prowess when he turned up to promote Force 2.
Ask Krushna if the show is being pulled off air because of the controversies and the actor-comedian says, “Not at all, but, at the same time, we don't want to ruin our relationship with people in the industry. However, I do wish to clarify that John didn't walk out. He had completed the episode which was even aired later.“
