At the launch of Deedara Aka Dara Singh, a book on the wrestler-turned-actors's life, Akshay Kumar admitted that he'd love to play him and would give his nod to the biopic if his son, Vindu, requested him. He was however quick to add that he'd need at least two years for prep, to put on his kind of bulk and look like a wrestler. The actor recalled going to see the Dara Singh, who passed away in 2012, with his sister and father who was also a wrestler.
