Twenty-one-year-old Ahan to make a beginning with an action-romance in mid-2017

Rumours of Suniel Shetty’s son, Ahan, making his Bollywood debut have been doing the rounds for over a year now. The 21-year-old has repeatedly brushed off the news, saying “I’m too young”. But Mirror has now learnt that Ahan will kick off his career with an action-romance by the mid of next year.

Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala who’s known for his big budget blockbusters and for launching the careers of Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, will now give the world a new Shetty. “The script has been locked and Sajid is finalising a director and a leading lady,” reveals a source close to the development.

Ahan, who was studying acting and filmmaking in the US, caught the eye when he accompanied sister, Athiya, to the launch of her first film, Hero, last year. His backstage meeting with actor-producer Salman Khan sparked speculations that bhai would mentor him next. Turns out it’s Sallu’s bestie, Sajid, who will be his godfather in wonderland.

Earlier this year, Ahan grabbed headlines with a series of steamy pictures at parties, on vacation and in the gym, with Tania, daughter of businessman Jai Shroff. The two are school friends who were reportedly in a steady relationship for three years before calling it quits in March.

Ahan subsequently directed his energies towards building up his body, from lean to muscular, much like his dad. “Apart from sweating it out in the gym, he’s also been growing a beard and taking diction, acting, and dance classes. Recently, he also did a photoshoot for the film,” adds the source.
