If industry murmurs are anything to go by, Neha Sharma, who plays the leading lady in Tum Bin 2, could soon be paired with Arjun Kapoor in Mubarakan, a comedy set against the backdrop of a wedding. It's a pivotal special appearance, in sync with the mood of the film that also features Arjun's uncle Anil as his reel chacha.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film features Arjun in a double role, with Athiya Shetty and Ileana D'Cruz playing his two leading ladies. “For a while, we were hunting for the third girl in the story. It's a small part, but important to the narrative. The role is of a girl who will briefly romance one of Arjun's two characters. Talks are in advanced stages with Neha. Modalities are being worked out,“ says a production hand.

If all goes well, Neha could join the cast next week in and around Delhi, followed by a schedule in London early next year. We reached out to Neha and the producers for a confirmation, but neither chose to respond.
