AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL continued its good run on Tuesday with a 30% apprx drop from the big holiday with collections of 12.50 crore nett apprx. The film was doing well at city multiplexes from day one (barring Sunday due to Diwali puja) but the last two days has seen the film perform well in mass belts due to the holiday period. Although the figures in these markets are not as high as SHIVAAY they are still very good for this type of film. The film has collected over 64 crore nett in five days which is a solid total though the first test will be Wednesday and then again on Friday. The first five day business of AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL is as follows.
Friday - 13,04,00,000
Saturday - 12,50,00,000
Sunday - 8,75,00,000
Monday - 17,75,00,000
Tuesday 12,50,00,000
TOTAL - 64,54,00,000
Despite SHIVAAY being the closest its ever been on Tuesday since release, the Delhi city and East Punjab numbers on Tuesday showed a bigger lead in favour of AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL than on Monday. The way these markets hold after the initial week it may make it hard for SHIVAAY to catch up despite making inroads in the last two days though that remains to be seen.
