AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL had a decent figure of 34 crore nett in its first weekend. The number itself may just about be okay but for pre Diwali its a good figure. The film has been aided by South India scoring well which is not affected by pre Diwali as much as the rest of the country. The three day figures in Mysore have hit 4 crore nett which is the sort of number it would have done on a normal weekend. The Sunday collections saw a drop as Delhi/UP and East Punjab which were giving the film a good contribution hit low levels with both doing less than 50% of the first day. Nizam/Andhra, Mysore and West Bengal have recorded good figures with each of them being the third or fourth highest of the year. The first weekend business of AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL is as follows.
Friday - 13,04,00,000
Saturday - 12,50,00,000
Sunday - 8,50,00,000
TOTAL - 34,04,00,000
AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL has a 10 crore nett lead against SHIVAAY after three days due to the good multiplex business on Friday and Saturday. But the test is still on Monday and where can it land on this big holiday. The film has actually scored better than SHIVAAY in CP, CI, Rajasthan on Saturday and Sunday as the bigger cities in these areas collected. And smaller centres where SHIVAAY should be doing better did not and if that status quo is maintained on Monday then the film will be on its a way to be a major success in India.
