Aamir Khan is in the North East to celebrate his wife Kiran Rao’s 43rd birthday on November 7, with son Azad Rao Khan for company. The trio will bring in the janamdin in Arunachal Pradesh.

Says a source, “Aamir and Kiran are no strangers to the North East. In fact, he had celebrated her 40th birthday in Assam in a big way. This year, he will celebrate her b’day in relative seclusion. His other children Ira and Junaid are currently overseas and won’t be joining him on this vacay. Also, this will be a holiday of sorts for the actor before he dives headlong into promotions for Dangal.”

Aamir is a perfectionist and this is evident in his planning the biwi ka janamdin, too. Adds our source, “He takes effort in research, planning and execution and keeps all details under wraps as he is extremely romantic at heart. Permits are required for entering into any place in Arunachal Pradesh and Aamir has arranged for all of that. Everything has been meticulously planned by him. He planned a surprise for Kiran and told her only on Diwali and then took off for AP on Monday night. They will roam around AP, where there is no network or access to phones, so they are completely cut off from civilisation. Both Aamir and Kiran are romantics and prefer the seclusion during this special time.”

2015: Aamir invited a few close friends over to his Panchgani bungalow for Kiran’s b’day.

2014: Kiran had always wanted to visit Tokyo. So Aamir whisked her off to Japan for a fortnight-long vacation that included b’day celebrations.

2013: He had whisked off Kiran and a few close friends and family to Assam for her 40th birthday. Karan Johar, director Ayan Mukerji and music director Salim Merchant along with the Khans stayed at a private resort inside Nameri National Park in Sonitpur district. They visited the Kaziranga National Park.
