Promotions-wise, the second season of Quantico opened with a bang. PC was everywhere — on talk shows and on all social networks. But all that didn’t help. The latest figures released reveal that the the show’s ratings are down.

And this was evident from the premiere episode itself. According to Variety, “Quantico returned with a 1.0 (rating) and 3.6 million (viewers), down 47 per cent in the demo and 49 per cent in viewers from its series premiere last fall.”

That’s a really steep fall for the show that has to compete with shows like How To Get Away With Murder and House of Cards, that fall in the same genre. Though the second episode of Quantico didn’t fall further, it just kept on clinging on to the same ratings, as per reports (Quantico held on to its 1.0 from last week).

And if the first two episodes — the second season sees PC as a CIA operative — are any indication, Chopra has gone bolder on the show. But is this turn by the desi girl enough to attract viewers?
