That Anurag Basu will produce and direct the sequel to his much-talked about urban relationship drama, Life In A...Metro, is known. But we have an interesting bit to share. Seems Ranbir Kapoor, his friend and the lead of his upcoming detective musical, will also pitch in as a producer on the project. The filmmaker worked with Ranbir for the first time on Barfi! Anurag says, “Ranbir is teaming up with me as a producer. Though I may want him to play a pivotal role in the film, I don't know whether he would be interested. He will always have the first right of refusal.“

As for the other actors, while Kangana Ranaut may not feature in the second outing - she had a pivotal role in the first -Irrfan is confirmed. The director, who plans to roll out the film in December, says, “Irrfan is committed to the sequel. We haven't worked together in years. In the last four-five years, we almost teamed up on two films, but they didn't work out. So this time, we're on.“
