Sunny Deol had revealed to Mirror (June 18) that he may be producing and directing films now but he's open to acting offers as they don't require more than 50-70 days. He also doesn't have to sit in for scripting or editing. "There are a couple of films I may accept. I am hungry for good scripts and characters I've never played before," he'd added. Now, we hear that the 59-year-old actor has greenlit Ashwini Chaudhary's next, an emotional drama which will roll by the year-end.

"Sunny fell in love with the story. The final script is currently under development. It's the story of a beautiful father-son relationship with Sunny as the father," informs a source close to the development, adding that the entire film will be shot in India but won't see the Ghayal Once Again actor engage in maar-dhaad.

Ashwini whose last directorial was the Bipasha Basu and R Madhavan-starrer Jodi Breakers in 2012, is currently on the lookout for an actor to essay the son's part. "He should be able to lock that cast in a week," adds the source.

Sunny's onscreen avatar coincides with him directing elder son, Karan. "The script is almost ready. It's a love story but will have action too, like Betaab," he had told Mirror (Nov 7), adding that he will launch younger son Rajvir two years after Karan.
