Within a few weeks of joining a microblogging site, Suniel Shetty is already wary of it, thanks to the troll nuisance. It all started after his picture with the Sports Minister was shared by the latter on social media. The two had met to discuss ideas to encourage sports in the country. Sadly, the picture was inundated with nasty comments. Suniel said, “Some people made rude remarks without knowing that I've been closely associated with sports. There's a lot of negative energy and misinformation online that it's stressful. I often think, I'd rather dedicate that time to the gym or yoga but then social media also keeps one updated.“ He revealed that his daughter Athiya and his friends convinced him to continue his stint online. “It's a great platform to reach out to people after all,“ he signed off.
