Mirror (August 31) had earli
er reported that Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh are all set to host a
chat show on Zee which celebrates friendship. The duo recently shot for
the first episode of Yaaron Ki Baraat at a Mumbai suburban studio with
two special guests, actress Parineeti Chopra and tennis ace Sania Mirza.
We hear a lot of secrets tumbled out during the course of a tell-all
conversation.
A source from the sets reveals that Sania who is close to Sajid and his sister, choreographer-director Farah Khan, went on to share that every item number in Sajid's films were first offered to her, be it “Dhanno“ from Housefull or “Anarkali Disco Chali“ from Housefull 2 but she refused to bite the bait and eventually the filmmaker got Jacqueline Fernandez and Malika Arora Khan respectively to swing to the tunes of these chartbusters. Sania, a fashionista in her own right, also revealed that Sajid tried to lure her by promising her a glam wardrobe if she gave the nod.
Meanwhile, speaking about how they went on to become besties, Parineeti revealed that their friendship had actually started with a misunderstanding. During an interview, Sania, when questioned on which actress she would like to see playing her on screen if a biopic was to be made on her life, named Deepika Padukone and Parineeti. She then quipped that since Deepika is busy doing films all over the world and is in demand, she might not have the time to take on this role. “Parineeti is relatively free so she could do it,“ she pointed out.
The champ realised that she had come across not quite right when the interview was published and called up Pari to clarify that she had no intentions of insulting her. That's how they met and became good friends.
Sania however had one complaint about her buddy, describing her “as one of the most random people“ she knows who is really bad at staying in touch on the phone and just disappears. Pari admitted that this was true but then turned the tables on her and blamed Sania for going to different parts of the world to play matches. Matchless hai yeh dosti!
