Sully is a marvelous flick based on a true story of how a passenger airplane landed in the freezing Hudson river after engine failure. The film not just focuses on the incident but also on the investigations that took place later on and what all the Captain of the ill-fated flight had to go through. This is a very unconventional film and it is helmed exceptionally and beautifully by master director Clint Eastwood. The film is occasionally dragging but it’s not something that hampers the fun. The climax is clapworthy and the movie ends on a great note. Tom Hanks as always is simply outstanding and it’s amazing how each and every year, he keeps coming up with some great performances in memorable films! Aaron Eckhart compliments Tom very well – the way he raises laughs is praiseworthy. Great work by the entire technical team too. I couldn’t see it in IMAX but if you get a chance, do give it a try – it would be surely worth it!
My rating - **** out of 5!
