It's been almost three years since Krrish 3 released. Fans of the superhero franchise finally have some reason to cheer as Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan have decided to make the fourth instalment.

It all started after Roshan Sr visited a Ganpati pandal a couple of days ago. On his way back, his wife Pinkie showed him a tweet in which the Elephant God was sporting the Krrish look. The filmmaker says, “When my wife showed me Bappa's picture, it reaffirmed my belief that Krrish is the original superhero we have. It boosted my confidence and inspired me to make the fourth instalment.“

Roshan admits that he sees this as a blessing for their next movie. “Ganesha is also called the God of Auspicious beginnings. I guess this was his way of saying that we have his blessings for Krrish 4.“ The filmmaker already has an idea, which he will be working on. The movie is slated to go on floors next year and will be released during Christmas 2018.

Hrithik, who will return in his superhero avatar, also tweeted the picture yesterday, saying, “Ganpati blessings for Krrish 4 :) ) hope everyone is enjoying the festivities. Love to all. (sic)“ Meanwhile, the Roshans have wrapped up the shoot of their upcoming film Kaabil. “Only a few days of patchwork is left. We'll be ready to release it on January 26, 2017,“ he concludes.
