Best known as Emraan Hashmi's co-star from the 2015 dud 'Mr X', model-turned-actress Amyra Dastur has raised the hackles of organisers of the Mysore Fashion Week for pulling out of the show at the last minute. The organisers, who claim to have suffered huge losses, blame it on lack of communication between the actress' talent management agency and the show planners.
An insider says, "Amyra's agent informed us a day prior to the event that she would fly in only if we booked business class tickets in a premium airlines. After that, the starlet decided to keep the advance on her fee to walk as showstopper on September 18." The fashion week concluded last week.
Designer-organiser Jayanthi Ballal says, "If she (Amyra) had an issue with the tickets, she should have mentioned it clearly when the travel plan was discussed. It is extremely unprofessional to back out of a pre-planned show at the last minute. We incurred huge losses due to this. The saree brand for which she was supposed to walk has sued us for her no-show."
When we got in touch with Amyra for her side of the story, her spokesperson said, "The conversation (about the show) happened between the agency and the organisers. They (the agency) were dealing with it and just informed Amyra that they were canceling it as the organisers didn't meet certain conditions. Amyra has not received any money from the organisers and was never part of the process. Her management agency was handling it. Also, this allegation about not agreeing to take some flight is not true."
