A FLYING JATT continued with low collections on Tuesday as it grossed 1.75 crore nett apprx taking its total to a little over 31 crore nett. The extended first week of eight days is looking to be around 34 crore nett while the seven day business will be 32.75 crore nett apprx. This basically means the eight day week one business of the film is less than the three day weekend of BAAGHI. The first week (7 Days) business of HEROPANTI was 34.86 crore nett so it does not even compare well with which was the first release of Tiger Shroff and at that time was an unknown. Below are the first six day figures of A FLYING JATT:
Thursday - 6,75,00,000
Friday - 5,50,00,000
Saturday - 7,00,00,000
Sunday - 8,25,00,000
Monday - 2,00,00,000
Tuesday - 1,75,00,000
TOTAL - 31,25,00,000
The biggest setback to the film was the initial of the film which should have been much better. It was already being said that Tiger Shroff had become a mass star in single screens. But this does not happen after a couple of films it takes time to become a star with masses. A FLYING JATT proved that as it did not perform any better in single screens than in multiplexes.
---------------------
A FLYING JATT had a poor first week collecting 33.50 crore nett in its first week. The weekday collections of the film had very low occupancy and it hardly added 6 crore nett over the weekdays. The film is a setback to the career of Tiger Shroff whose BAAGHI just 4-5 months back had taken the most effective initial of 2016 - was universal and excellent against the cost of the film. Here the biggest problem was initial, an action film just can't afford to open to such low numbers as they can't grow vis-a-vis content films or films of other genres. The performance of A FLYING JATT was poor across the board with probably CI having the best figures comparatively. Delhi and East Punjab should have done much better due to the Punjabi flavour but collections were very dull there also. The film has a heavy reduction of shows in the second week so won't add much from here on.
