When rains played spoilsport for Bollywood celebrities

It was a Black Friday for Mumbaikars as heavy rains, delayed or stranded local trains, waterlogged streets and jam-packed expressways crippled the city. And along with the aam aadmi, even the tinsel stars had their tales of woes to share.
Akshay Kumar who has an Independence Day release, Rustom, coming up was to shoot for The Kapil Sharma Show and scheduled to reach Film City by 12 noon. The actor who's a stickler for time was, for once, delayed, stuck in a traffic jam. But Akki being Akki, simply hopped out of his car and jumped on his security guard's bike, zooming into the studio, drenched to the skin. "He had requested a change of clothes and they were waiting for him when he made an appearance just 20 minutes late," informed a source.
Parineeti Chopra also sat in her car, listening to music, on her way to town for a visa interview. She is leaving for the Dream Tour concert which kicks off in the US on August 12 and needs her visa to come in by Monday. So, she was forced to make the long drive, to and fro.
Emraan Hashmi was dubbing for his upcoming horror flick, Raaz Reboot, in Juhu but headed back to Bandra by 1 pm because of the MET warnings. "I made it home just in time but got a lot of traffic from Juhu to Pali Hill," he updated Mirror.
Sunny Leone was headed to the airport to take a private jet to Kanpur for an event. The 20-minute drive stretched over an hour as the roads in Juhu were flooded. "I was 25 minutes late but so were a couple of others. I made some silly Snapchat videos while waiting for the traffic to clear. I didn't have any problems, but I think the little kids hanging around near the flyover, had a tough time," the actress sympathised.
Nimrat Kaur had quite the workout on her way back from her Pilates class on Friday morning. "My car broke down due to excessive flooding. Not a good day at all!" she admitted when Mirror caught up with her later in the day.
Vivek Oberoi had grand plans of masti. He had a charity event to attend in Navi Mumbai, after which he was to head for the airport to catch a flight to Rajasthan. The climate wasn't feeling as charitable as him and the actor was caught up in a traffic snarl mid-way to the venue. So, he had no option but to disappoint his fans and turn towards the airport instead. Even there, the car was crawling and he finally reached airport after two long hours. "It was a crazy, the rain was coming down in torrents, but I'm not complaining since the entire country needs rain after the drought," he averred.
