An NGO working against tobacco consumption will write to actor John Abraham asking for the withdrawal of his just-released film, Dishoom, in which he is seen smoking a cigarette.
A senior office-bearer of the National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication (NOTE) also said that they will lodge a formal police complaint against the actor, producer and director if their demand is not met.
The NGO's general secretary Shekhar Salkar confirmed the news, saying, "The poster showing Abraham smoking a cigarette promotes the use of tobacco. This is against the law. The poster should be immediately withdrawn."
Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Dishoom starring Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez released on July 29.
