A special programme Aisa Desh Hai Mera that will bring alive the patriotic fervor of Independence day and pay a tribute to the nation’s rich and diverse culture will be aired on Zee this Sunday. While several TV actors like Gurmeet Choudhary, Debina, Aamir Ali, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Karan Tacker will be seen performing, the highlight of the show is Akshay Kumar. The superstar who will be promoting his upcoming film Rustom shares interesting nuggets about how he is a true desi. He reveals, “I eat noodles with pudina chutney and dip my burger in rasam rather than sauce. Also on my birthday, I cut rasgullas instead of a cake. I wear denim dhotis and for me A is for anaar, B for badaam and C for choona.” He went on to add, “I am such a true blue desi that I broke a coconut in front of the world-famous Statue of Liberty and put a garland on the painting of Mona Lisa.” Can’t get funnier than that, can it?
