The film is trending a little better than MADAARI released a few weeks. That film finish at nearly 18 crore nett for lifetime business and HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI may just finish a little higher than that. A FLYING JATT is releasing on Thursday which will mean business may be affected though the partial holiday may compensate a little.

HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI really had to find appreciation in Delhi and Punjab to make any headway at the box office but that has not happened with both Punjab and Delhi city collecting around 20-25 lakhs nett each on Monday and Tuesday. The occupancy in other parts of the country is poor over the weekdays which will lead to limited screenings in week two.

HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI has done low business in the first week but there was a decent trend for the film on the last two days of the week. The film has closed the week on around 17.50 crore nett but the best collections of the weekdays came on Wednesday and Thursday. It was a partial holiday for Janmashtami on Thursday and Wednesday would also have benefited in the evenings so it remains to be seen if it is the holiday factor or there is more to it and can the film get up to a decent total. The fact that Janmashtami is mainly a Northern India holiday would have helped as HAPPY BHAG JAYEGI is doing far better in Delhi NCR and East Punjab. The collections over the second weekend are all important for the film and if good it could turn out to be average fair.

The initial of the film is really what cost the film as even just a 3 crore nett start would have made a huge difference but the film only collected around 2.25 crore nett. The first week collections are the 21st highest of the year and the film is pocketed with the following films which did 15-20 crore nett in week one.
