Badshah has come a long way
since he first rapped with Yo Yo Honey Singh's band, Mafia Mundeer,
rising to overnight fame in 2006. His music soon translated into
Bollywood chartbusters like “Saturday Saturday“ in Humpty Sharma Ki
Dulhaniya and “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai“ in Khoobsurat in 2014. The
Punjabi popstar went on to score tracks for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Jazbaa
and Kapoor & Sons. This year, his compositions feature in Nitya
Mehra's Baar Baar Dekho and Ajay Devgn's directorial, Shivaay.
While Badshah has teamed up with fellow Punjabi singer - Gippy Grewal,
Diljit Dosanjh, Manj Musik, Raftaar and Aastha Gill - in the past, this
time he will share the screen and croon with cricketer, Yuvraj Singh. The duo will be rapping together in an upcoming single.
Last week, they met in Delhi and finalised the details of the music video they will be collaborating on. Badshah was on a tour in the Capital, performing in Noida on August 8, when the batsman dropped by to catch the 'live' act. The twosome will record the track and shoot the video next month in Mumbai.
