Emraan Hashmi's first home production, Captain Nawab, with Azhar director Tony D'Souza at the helm, has him playing an army officer. "I've worn a uniform twice before, briefly in Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai and again in Ungli. This is the first time I'm playing an army man and it's an imposing look," asserts the actor. What's interesting is that half the uniform is that of the Indian army and the other half of Pakistan. "That's the DNA of the film. I know it'll spark off assumptions but I'll hold the suspense for now," Emraan says enigmatically, adding that he'll start prep from scratch, learning how to hold a gun and working on his body language. "It will take months of training before I get down to shooting. Just to get the swing of the bat right in Azhar, I had to train for at least four months, this film will be even more demanding."
Training will begin once he's done with Milan Luthria's Baadshaho which has just gone on the floors. But before that, he has some free time coming up in September so he plans to get started on his homework immediately but will dive into the training completely only around December. "Next month, we will work on the script," says Emraan, adding that the film is inspired by true events.
