He was a legend at the age of 5 - Budhia Singh, a young boy from the slums of Odisha was born to run. His tiny feet had coursed through 48 marathons including an astounding 65km run from Puri to Bhubaneshwar in the scorching 50 degree summer in just 7hrs and 2 mins. The 'Wonder Child' was considered the next marathon prodigy for the Olympics. But Budhia wasn't allowed to pursue his dream; he was banned from running.

A story that inspires and yet makes us question the world that we live in and our own sense of judgement is what motivated Soumendra Padhi to take this tale to the world. Wanting to keep every element as real as possible, the team went to great length to find a boy who not only looks like Budhia (Role essayed by Master Mayur Patole) but also is a natural athlete with the same running style as Budhia. Extensive amount of research went into finding the truth behind every rumour, the fact behind every anecdote and the extent of realism that hits you on screen is simply striking.

Budhia today is 14 years old, stands 5'7' and is craving to run. But the ban still continues.
