It’s not everyday that one gets to dress up as a queen. Amy Jackson, who will next be seen in Rajinikanth- starrer Robot 2.0, has been signed by T-Series for their next music single. The actress will pose as Queen Tamara, Georgia’s first woman ruler.

A source says, “Amy’s stylist, Anisha, will be using local material from the Georgia market to create her look. Sometime this week, Amy will go to Georgia from London for the shoot.” Amy tells us she will soon fly out for a three-day schedule in Georgia for the song shoot. “The track is called Halka Halka and will showcase me as a queen. My look will be very royal, elegant and vintage. I have heard the music and I can say it is soulful. That’s what convinced me to take it up,” she says.

Who is Queen Tamara?
Born to King George III and Queen Burdukhan of Georgia, Queen Tamara was declared the next ruler at the tender age of 12. After her father’s death, the entire kingdom swore allegiance to Tamara because King George had no son.

She took the throne at the age of 18. The church and the royal court found her suitor in Yuri, the son of Prince Andrei Bogoliubsky of Vladimir-Suzdal, but the marriage didn’t last long. She later banished him for illicit behaviour and later found love in Davit-Soslan Bagrationi, who was a progeny of King George I.
