SULTAN gained huge momentum again as the weekend started with business of around 11.50 crore nett on its second Saturday. This takes the business of the second weekend to around 19 crore nett and the grand total stands at 248 crore nett. The gain on Saturday from Friday is around 55%. The film should see good gains again on Sunday.

That film is course to be the highest grossing film ever in the North and it was the Delhi NCR and East Punjab region which saw huge gains. The two days in the second weekend have already recorded better collections than what any film has recorded for the whole second weekend in 2016. It will be one of the few films to go over 30 crore nett for the second weekend and possibly even go over 50 crore nett for the second week though that depend on the Sunday growth..

SULTAN had an excellent second weekend as it grossed around 34 crore nett. The only films to have collected more in the second weekend are PK, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and DHOOM 3. The next best was BAJIRAO MASTANI at 34.02 crore and the final SULTAN numbers will in the same range. The total business of the film so far is 263 crore nett apprx.

The film showed fantastic growth over the weekend as the family audiences came out in full force across the country. Despite GREAT GRAND MASTI not doing well the film could have been 7-8 crore higher over the weekend if that film had not come. The film has become the third highest grosser of all time as it beat the figures of DHOOM 3 (Hindi) and is now chasing BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and PK. Below are the figures of SULTAN till date.

The film is now chasing the business of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and PK which are the top two grossers. The film will cross the 300 crore nett mark but PK nett collections are probably out of range and the main question that remains is that where it finishes in terms of the 316 crore nett figure of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN.
