The first schedule of Kabir Khan's Tubelight kicks off today in Ladakh but his hero, Salman Khan, is expected to join the unit some time in August after fulfilling work commitments in the Bay, including shooting for the tenth season of the reality show Bigg Boss.

A source from the show's team reveals, “Bigg Boss 10 goes on air some time in mid-October. Before that, Salman will start shooting for some fun promos and segments on August 2 at a suburban studio in Mumbai. This season will see commoners sharing the house with celebrities and will be shot in Lonavala like every year. The common people have already been finalised while hunt is currently on for their celeb counterparts.“

Kabir Khan, when contacted, confirmed that Sallu begins work on his film in August. Tubelight is a period love story with the 1962 Indo-Chinese war as the backdrop and will have Salman's character falling in love with a Chinese girl.
