Last week, Richa Chadha was driving around Juhu in her car, with her favourite companion -her pet cat Kamli - when she was stopped over by traffic cops because they apparently noticed something fishy in her car. Our source tells us, “Richa's pet cat was in the passenger seat without a leash and the cop was concerned that the feline would startle her while she was driving. Richa was asked to pull over. She was allowed to go after half an hour.“

Confirming the incident, the actress said, “My driver had taken the day off. I wanted to take my cat out for a drive. She gets hassled at home and I avoid putting her in cage when we go for drives. She is a well-behaved, trained kitten, who just likes to look around. It took me time to convince the traffic cop. But once he saw that Kamli is a cool cat, literally, he let us go. Plus, I'm not entirely certain if driving around with pets minus seat belts is actually illegal.“
