After “Mitti Di Khushboo“
with Huma Qureshi and “Yahin Hoon Main“ with Yami Gautam, Ayushmann
Khurrana is collaborating with producer Bhushan Kumar once again for a
new romantic single, titled “Halka Halka“, with Amy Jackson. Sung by
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and lyrics by Rashmi Virag, the single is an
adaptation of a popular Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan track by the same name and
is recreated by Abhijit Vaghani. It will be directed by Mardaani
filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar who had directed Euphoria's “Kabhi Aana Tu Meri
Gali“ (2003), featuring Vidya Balan.
“I am happy that music videos are back. I decided to come on board because Rahat saab is singing it. It's a love story set in a different era and has Amy playing a queen. It won't just be about music and singing but also about a story,“ says an excited Pradeep, adding that Rahat will appear in the song as well. The “Main Jahan Rahoon“ singer has previously made an appearance in “Dillagi“, featuring Vidyut Jammwal and Huma.
“We are shooting in Georgia in mid-August with DoP Artur Zurawski who has earlier worked on Mardaani with me. The air in Georgia has a very misty quality which I wanted to incorporate in the video so I needed someone who knew the place and how to work with the European light,“ the 61-year-old filmmaker reveals.
