It is Sonu Sood's birthday today. However, the actor, who lost his father on February 7 this year, has decided to skip all celebrations. Instead, he is dedicating a new beginning to his dad by floating his film company in the name of his father, Shakti Sagar Sood. It was indeed a proud moment for Sonu, when the global cinema icon, Jackie Chan, with whom he shares a good friendship, unveiled the first poster of his maiden production, 2 In 1 (Two In One) under the banner Shakti Sagar Productions. The comedy thriller, directed by Vijay, stars Prabhu Dheva, Sonu and Tamannaah.

Sonu, who was very close to his dad, had plans to launch his production house in the latter's lifetime itself. And his dad's untimely demise earlier this year came as a big blow to him. However, the actor was determined to go ahead with his plans to launch his home banner.

Getting emotional, Sonu says, “I wanted the banner to be a present for him. Unfortunately, he is not around to see this happening, but I do know that he is always with me in spirit and his blessings are with me for a lifetime.“
