Sushant Singh Rajput reveals who he would love to romance on screen…

Gone are the days when only older A-List heroes acted opposite younger heroines. Today, the older lot of A-List heroines can also stake a similar claim.

We caught up with Sushant Singh Rajput recently and asked him if he’d want to be in that list, where he’d romance an older heroine. He said, “Given a chance, I would love to romance Tabu. I wouldn’t mind doing a film with Manisha Koirala either. Or Madhuri Dixit. They are all superb actors and I would have a series of sleepless nights because they are that good!”

But that’s because he doesn’t ‘have any inhibitions’. He explains. “I can also romance a guy if I like the character and the script. Obviously, only in the film! (Laughs) I want to be an actor, but it’s not like these are the only things I would do or I won’t do. I read the script, if I like it, I would do anything I am asked to.”

He feels that there is a very noticeable change in the way we look at female actresses today. “In almost all the decades, we have had amazingly talented heroines. That fact somewhere gets sidelined because we are so obsessed about box-office numbers these days. Lately, Deepika, Kangana and Vidya Balan’s films have made the numbers. Now, we have suddenly become aware and it only means that we are not losing out on great actors, just because of their gender,” Sushant reasons.
