For Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 35th birthday on Thursday, the makers of the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer biopic, M S Dhoni - The Untold Story, had a special gift up their sleeve. Mirror has learnt that they have asked Dhoni fans to send in birthday greetings for him in short videos. The best of the lot will feature in the film.

"The message should be about what Dhoni means to them and how he inspires them. There are a few sequences in the film where his fans are seen talking about him and these videos will be incorporated there," says a source close to the development.

Interestingly, the biopic's official poster release was preceded by one from Dhoni's fan club on Thursday. "The fans get a unique chance to wish Dhoni and also have the moment documented. The rest of the video entries will get a digitally signed poster by MSD with their message imprinted on them," adds the source.

While speaking to Mirror (September 30) Sushant had revealed that he did everything possible to prep up for the role. "Complete immersion is important, more so that when you're playing a real-life living character, viewers feel you are him and not pretending to be him," Sushant reasoned, adding that that at times he did feel like he's talking differently, like Dhoni. "At the moment, I'm making a conscious attempt to be myself," he had said.
