Tigmanshu Dhulia's upcoming
short film, Baarish Aur Chowmein, featuring Taapsee Pannu and Amit Sadh
as the leads, was wrapped up in seven days in Mumbai.
A part of the Indo-Pak cinema initiative called Zeal for Unity, where six Indian and six Pakistani filmmakers come together to direct a film each over the theme of 'Love', Dhulia's story is about a Bollywood background dancer (Pannu) and a local museum worker (Sadh) who lives as a paying guest in the house owned by the dancer's Maharashtrian family.
“According to my Marathi mulgi character, opposites always attract. She also believes that love is selfless and unconditional,“ Taapsee told Mirror, adding that working with her dear “Tishu sir“ has been the best part of signing the project. “Even if he wanted to sign me for a short commercial, I would've said 'yes' because I respect him a lot. He's unconventional and amazing with his words. Apart from being a great director, he's also a fabulous actor,“ Taapsee signs off with a smile.
