Masti, which released in
2004, was one of the first screwball comedies in Hindi cinema. It gave
us an insight into the lives of three men who are keen to have an
extramarital affair to spice up their lives. After nine years, the
makers followed it up with Grand Masti. Now, the trio of Riteish
Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi will be seen in the
franchise's third outing, Great Grand Masti.
The film, which is helmed by Indra Kumar, revolves around the exploits of these three actors in a small town where they encounter a femme fatale, Urvashi Rautela (Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva-Miss Universe India 2015). How she slowly turns into their worst nightmare forms the crux of the story.
With the trailer releasing today, producer Ashok Thakeria claims, “Great Grand Masti is the third instalment of India's first adult comedy franchise, carrying forward the tone set in the first two parts. We won't disappoint the audience.“
The director says, “It combines Masti's subtleness with Grand Masti's wildness and will be more than paisa vasool.“
Great Grand Masti, presented by Alt Entertainment and produced by Maruti International, releases on July 22.
