After walking the ramp for Pernia Qureshi in a shimmering one-shoulder gown, Sonam Kapoor ushered in her 31st birthday at the designer's residence in Bandra on Thursday night.

Among the invited guests was the birthday girl's I Hate Luv Storys co-star Imran Khan with wife Avantika, designer Masaba Gupta who walked in with producer hubby Madhu Mantena in matching white and buddy Vikas Bahl. Swara Bhaskar dropped by and exited with her writer-beau Himanshu Sharma. Siddhanth Kapoor and designer Kunal Rawal also made an appearance. "It was a fun night with close friends. Everyone grooved to popular hip hop numbers belted out by the DJ," informs a guest from the bash. Chef Shilarna Vaze aka Chinu's lavish spread was designed keeping Sonam's vegan preferences in mind. While the actress binged on Japanese simmered diakon with pok choy and edamame, the other guests bit into sumptious lobster rolls. The food was clearly a hit with the revellers, as Vikas Bahl walked out of the building with a bowl of food in hand.

Sonam cut an embossed cake, feature shoes and bags, along with family pics. "The party was planned well in advance and went on till the wee hours," adds the guest.
