It was reported earlier that common friends were trying to quell the storm in the Hrithik Roshan­ Kangana Ranaut controversy, in the best interests of both the actors. But did the attempt yield any result? Well, the answer is no. We heard from a reliable source that all efforts were in vain, and their bitter battle continues. Apparently, both of them differed on how the matter should reach a conclusion wherein neither of them feels subjugated. Hrithik wanted a certain approach, and Kangana wanted a different way forward. And neither seems to be in a mood to budge. So, a peace treaty between the two will have to wait.

Kangana is in Delhi today for the National Awards ceremony. We heard that her parents were so excited to be a part of the big moment, that her father wanted to colour coordinate his formal outfit with his wife's sari. Kangana will be dressed in a gown by a Lebanese designer to receive the honour.

Later, in the week, the actress and her sister Rangoli will be heading to London and then Paris for some retail therapy. Well, her vacation doesn't end there. She will take off solo for some 'me time' to her favourite destination, Switzerland, where she will spend time cycling and walking around. And probably indulge in some fine cheese.
