Every glamorous actress dreams of being a Bond girl
some day — cavorting in a bikini, guns blazing... Seductress Supreme
herself. A femme fatale and usually a love interest of 007 himself,
she’s almost always the last word on glamour and sophistication. Other
times, she might be an ally or an enemy of James Bond, pivotal to the
mission or simply eye candy, but she always, always gets noticed.
Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have been creating ripples globally and were in the running for the sought-after role. But, according to a source, “They auditioned for different roles. PC for one where she’d have played a crucial part in the film while DP would essay an Indian girl who only appears during flashbacks, as if in a cameo.”
Whether or not one (or neither) makes it to the film, both the actresses have way too much going on already. Deepika is completing the final leg of xXx — she had given them bulk dates. And over the past 18 months, Priyanka Chopra has been filming for Quantico and the Baywatch film.
