The actress injured her ankle while shooting an action sequence in Budapest

A two-month marathon schedule for Dinesh Vijan's Raabta which commenced in Budapest in mid-April has ground to an abrupt stop after leading lady Kriti Sanon injured her ankle while shooting an action sequence.

"They were filming in the Hungarian city with Kriti sprinting across the roof of a castle. She lost her grip and crashed into the safety mat, twisting her ankle in the process," reveals a source present on the set. "A doctor was immediately summoned to the sets on Thursday and an X-ray done. He visited her on Friday for another check-up and advised her to rest for a day or two. They will resume shooting with some other scenes and get back to action later. Kriti was keen on continuing with the shoot but Dinesh insisted that she take a break till her injury had healed."

Last year, John Abraham busted his knee while canning an action sequence for Vipul Shah's Force 2 in Budapest and had to undergo a surgery in Mumbai. Fortunately, Kriti's injury is not that serious and she should be segwaying with her co-star and close friend, Sushant Singh Rajput, by next week.

However, it remains to be seen if they will have to work through their planned five-day break because of this forced layoff and forgo their trip to Vienna and Prague.
