Sushant Singh Rajput is playing Mahendra Singh Dhoni in a biopic being made on the India cricket captain. And now the actor and the cricket star’s paths are intertwining again. The duo will be seen in an ad together, for a high-end SUV.

Says a source, “The modalities, including their endorsement fees, are being worked out. The brand is keen to have both on them on board. For the brand, it’s interesting that Sushant and MSD haven’t been seen together in public spaces and so they want to cash in on the equity that they hold together. Sushant and Dhoni are heroes of the youth. The SUV represents boyhood, travelling adventure and the sportiness. Both are known for all the above mentioned definitions and therefore make for a hot duo for the ad campaign.”

The source adds that the campaign is likely to begin sometime between October and November. “The makers met SSR and MSD with the ad brief. After they agree to the concept, the crew will be put together for the shoot.”
